Kathleen M. Dudzinski, marine biologist and cetacean behaviorist

Here's your chance to learn more about dolphins from a leading researcher in the field.

Kathleen Dudzinski has been researching dolphins since 1987. During a National Science Foundation fellowship, she studied the communication and behavior among Atlantic spotted dolphins in Bahamian waters and researched bottlenose dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico, Belize, Japan and in two Dolphinaria in Europe. She has also helped design and build a new system for simultaneously recording the behavior and vocalizations of dolphins underwater. Currently she is in Japan studying signal exchange and contact behavior among bottlenose dolphins.

She answered questions on Monday, July 19, through Friday, July 23.
